The church that Christ built...

In Matthew chapter 16, Jesus asked His disciples who that men said that He was.  They answered with the opinions of men that our Lord was possibly some of the greatest examples of faith and merit in the Bible with such names as "Elijah" and "John the Immerser" or even a prophet such as "Jeremiah".  Jesus then asked them "Who do  you  say that I am?"  The great response that the apostle Peter gave was "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the Living God."  It was with this confession that Jesus replied "Upon this rock (this confession), I will build My church. . ."

Jesus Christ purchased the church with His own blood.  That is the church that you will find at Elkins.  We strive to live in the example of the early church - the truly undenominational church - in the example, inference, and commands of the New Testament.   You will find nothing more than is authorized, and nothing less than is written in worship, communion, edification, and reverence to our God.
